Kids find this image doing a simple google search (even with safesearch on) like i did while looking for something for a child. pretty disgusting that you use kids toys for a perverted purpose. Hopefully you are just some idiot who doesn’t have kids. If you do, then you are en even bigger idiot.
I hope you write to everyone who has a picture that is offensive to you. I imagine you will be writing for the rest of your life. By the way: The Elf on the Shelf is not a toy and children aren’t supposed to touch it. This picture has nothing to do with raising kids. An adult calling another adult an idiot is a red flag for bad parenting. Happy Holidays!
Kids can find a lot of things they shouldn’t be reading about on the internet (even with safesearch on). There’s a difference between being a pervert and doing something satirical (Google satire. I’m sure there’s even a wiki article about it if you are afraid to navigate all those scary links).
ElleD: I’m not sure if you are talking to me or to doc here. I agree that kids or anyone can find undesired things when searching. My blog is not for children and the only way that picture would be inappropriate for this forum, is if it was using real people instead of dolls with no anatomical parts whatsoever. I am not responsible for the Google search engine. Other search engines don’t even bring that picture up.
I thought so, but I didn’t want to start my comment off with “Thanks.” and then you correct me and tell me how disgusting I am. Thanks for having a sense of humor.
If a child is old enough to have the responsibilities to navigate around on the internet without any direct parental supervision, then they probably no longer believe in elf on the shelf story. Just sayin.
and what if I search for “EoS Images” and am showing my child the different pictures. Sorry poster “Doc” was incorrect , your not an idiot your a MORON for posting this pic on the WWW ! Grow Up !
Clearly, I have grown up and have a sense of humor. You and Doc, quite frankly, are the ones acting infantile. They are inanimate objects people! I don’t pin things to Google Images with my magic wand. Or….Do you believe in magic too?
In this day and age, it is quite sad to hear such ignorance regarding the internet. If you are not mature or responsible enough to supervise your child while surfing the net, you shouldn’t do it anymore. Instead of being appauld at a mild version of what is found on the internet, why don’t you work on your parenting skills. A good parent has the ability to discuss things with their child regarding things they see and hear on the internet and beyond. BUT…..I imagine you have a hard time monitoring your child’s television viewing, choice of music, clothing and selection of friends too.
I don’t know how old your child is, but if your comment is any indication of your temperament and reasoning skills, then your child has a rough road in front of them. Do you ride the bus with them and sit by them at school all day? You will find much worse than this in the schools (even elementary) that your child attends. You better provide them with intellect and coping skills. Try to stray from your bullying example (name calling). We really don’t need more bullys in the world.
**If you really want your child to believe in the “magic” of Elf on the Shelf, you wouldn’t be searching images together on the internet. You would purchase the elf, read the story and secretly move him night after night until he disappears for another year. Clearly you don’t grasp the concept of the elf.**

Was to Doc, not you. I appreciate your humor!
