Brotherly Love….or something that looks like it.

22 Apr

BROTHERLY LOVE

Sweatshirts and blue jeans

…then suits and ties

Hitting girls on the playground

…to hitting on them in bars

Dreams are larger than life now

…then priorities and goals

Can’t wait to grow up

…then wanting to be a kid again

Lorre, you are a far better poet than you think. Your poetry is thought-provoking. Not a bad thing! ~R

Certainly a different side of me. Thanks.

I love coming of age poetry, and this one nails it.

Thanks Red. I especially like the fact they are all getting along. Well, I really mean the big guys. Who fights with a baby?

So true if we can turn the hands back. :)

      Don’t I know it.

LIS — I keep telling the under-aged they will regret trying to grow up so fast. Adulthood isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. If it looks like brotherly love — watch out — something’s brewing under the water. Lol.

      Oh, don’t I know it.
I’m glad to see that LIS going around. I checked and it is in the internet dictionary or whatever, but I never see it used.

This is the epitome of what brothers are like. Now Sisters…whole different story!

I’m so glad I only have one girl. I don’t think I could handle the girl drama in my home.

        11 girls – 4 boys. Girl Drama with a capital “D”!

        God bless you lady!

Things were much simpler when we were children, weren’t they?

    • Lorre April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM #

Most definately, but we (or at least I) didn’t realize how easy it was.

      • twindaddy April 23, 2012 at 2:36 PM #

I don’t think any of us do.

I really liked this one. As I get further away from it, it leaves me a little sad, and I’m not altogether sure why.

    • Lorre April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM #

      I’m glad and I’m sorry.

Thanks for the warning. So….I guess you have Peter Pan syndrome. When you grow up, watch out, but of course……..it can provide a different level of fun…..but not so easy (damn bills)

One of teh best parts of growing up is getting to act like a kid again.

    • Lorre April 25, 2012 at 12:30 PM #

That’s true and also when my kids think I’m the most crazy. Go figure.

Speak freely, but try not to be a big ass. Carryon!
